Liz's love for music and performing started when she was only 12, and she landed the lead role in the musical "Annie" in her home town of Missouri. After that she was hooked and the next year she started recording cover songs and meeting with people in the music industry. Her passion and need to express herself with her own words and melodies led her to attend songwriting conferences and classes, as well as piano lessons to help her further her craft. Liz fell in love with the process of learning and creating music, and her natural musical abilities began to grow as she quickly picked up the guitar in an effort to expand her writing and performing chops. "I consider myself a hopeless romantic (Golden laughs) and the songs I write come from my life, my hopes, my heartaches and the things that I see and experience around me. Ultimately I write because something moves me and I have something to say... All I can hope is that what I'm saying makes people feel something". Her musical favorites range from U2 and Coldplay to Imogen Heap, Lil Wayne, and Rihanna. She has been influenced by the singer / songwriter vibe such as John Mayer, Mat Kearney, Colbie Caillat, Missy Higgins, Joshua Radin and Sheryl Crow. Liz comes from a very musical, real life PARTRIDGE FAMILY. She and her three siblings all sing and play and Her brother Josh Golden is a 15 year old singer/songwriter who has been featured on the DISNEY Channel and Radio Disney's Next Big Thing. Liz is very proud to have co-written Josh's recent single "Small Town Big City" with her bothers Josh & Johnny. The song hit number 11 on Radio Disney's Top 30 and Liz, Josh and her entire family are hitting the road this summer on a nation wide tour.
